Sustainability
Wind Speed Trading was established in 2005 and the company’s track record since; is concrete proof of its ability to deliver long term and consistent service at the required level. The company has undertaken numerous multi-million rand projects and never has any project been abandoned.
Capacity
The company has been involved in several projects of an operational nature over the last couple of years. Valuable experience has been gained during the execution of these projects, and due to very low personnel turn-over, most of this
experience is still within the company. This, in conjunction with established planning and logistical systems, gives the company the capacity to successfully execute a project such as the Transnet Rail Wagon corrosion services.
Robustness
Spare capacity in infrastructure will be planned into the project from the onset, and this spare capacity will be quantified by applying accepted statistical and engineering norms used throughout industry. Sourcing of additional personnel during unforeseen circumstances (departure from the norm) will be achieved by means of the company in-house database.
This personnel database is kept and constantly maintained by our HR department
Flexibility
We view our ability to adjust to change as company strength. This ability stems from our involvement for more than a decade in corrosion control related projects. During this period, the company had to adjust (minor and major) on numerous occasions in order to deliver projects successfully.
Logistics Skill
The keys to a successful Transnet Rail Wagon and Tankers corrosion protection contract are:
• Sufficient and reliable infrastructure, with spare capacity
• The maintenance (preventative and routine) of all infrastructure
• Adequate and experienced personnel and management
• Support from all applicable Head Office functions, including a comprehensive logistical support system
• Timeous and adequate communication with the client
All of the above shall form the cornerstones of all our projects.
Performance Indicators
Wind Speed Trading prides itself in the fact that 80 % of new contracts signed are with existing customers. We see this as a measure of how trusted our performance is. We regard the building of long term relationships with our clients as highly important. A considerable percentage of our entire contract to date, has been in the Rail Wagon, Power generation, Mining and related industries, and therefore the company is fully aware of the service delivery expectations set by our clients.
